CUSTOM TURRET LABELS

While we’ve done our best to source turret blanks for most major scope models, some may not support an engraved turret. In those cases, Ballistix can create a precision laser-engraved adhesive label compatible with nearly any turret on the market.

Installing your Custom Turret

We worked with T.J. Schwanky from Outdoor Quest TV to demonstrate how easy it is to setup a Ballistix custom turret on your rifle. In this video T.J. goes over how to install a turret on your rifle scope, what it can be used for and even demonstrates some of our turrets in action at the range.

Our Story

Ballistix was founded by a team of long range shooting enthusiasts. We found ourselves continuously disappointed with the accuracy of the available ballistic compensation tools, so we decided to reinvent the traditional ballistic calculator. Our first of its kind Ballistix Simulator generates thousands of shot simulations using your provided load, muzzle velocity, and real-world environmental conditions to create the most accurate bullet compensation data available.

Our propritary turret technology uses your provided data set and translates it into yardage indicators on your choice of a laser engraved turret or weatherproof ballistic label sized to perfectly fit over top of your existing scope's turret cap. With Ballistix turret technology, you'll no longer have to worry about confusing holdover reticles, in-the-field ballistic data charts, or MOA / MILRAD calculations. Instead, you'll be able to focus more on shot placement, windage and proper shooting form.

Ballistix Custom Targeting Systems are the complete package for simple, accurate, long-range shooting.

Frequently asked questions

What is a custom turret?

A custom Ballistix turret is a user-installed replacement for a stock elevation turret. It replaces the indicator lines on your factory turret (clicks, MOA, MILRAD etc.) with precise yardage markers. Simply range find your target, dial in your turret, breathe and shoot. Our easy to use, online tool captures your unique ballistic data to produce a custom yardage turret. Our live turret preview updates as you make adjustments so you can see your turret before submitting your order. Ballistix turrets are offered in singe and double rotation options for most scopes. Max turret yardage however, will vary depending based on ballistic data provided.

Do you offer international shipping?

We now offer shipping to: Australia, Canada, Germany, United Kingdom, Italy, Norway, New Zealand, Sweden, United States and South Africa. If you don't see your country in the list, be sure to message us and let us know and we will work to add shipping to your country. You can send us a message by clicking the floating chat bubble in the bottom right corner of your screen. As an alternative, we also work with a number of partners to offer a shipping redirect. You can use a shipping redirection service like FishIsFast, Shipitto, or Reship to obtain a US forwarding address. These redirection services are free to use, but will charge you their own shipping fee to redirect your package based on the final destination of your package.

Think of it like this:

  1. You place an order from Ballistix
  2. We ship to your shipping redirection center.
  3. The shipping redirection service receives your order and redirects it to your final address. You will pay for our shipping fee + the shipping fee for FishIsFast to send your package to you.
How do I track my order?

As soon as we complete your turret and have it ready to ship, you will receive an email letting you know your shipment has been registered. In that same email you will also receive a tracking link that will provide you with updates on your turrets whereabouts.

How long until I receive my Ballistix custom turret?

Custom turrets are typically engraved or printed within 2 business days of receiving your order. We know you're keen to get shooting so we do our best to ship your custom turret on the same day it is completed.

What value should I provide for Humidity?

We are looking for the average humidity in the location where you will be hunting or shooting as a percentage. Your turret will remain accurate 20% above and below the entered value (i.e. you have a 40% window to work with). The average humidity for most of North America is 78%. However, the easiest way to find the average humidity in your location is a simple google search (e.g. average humidity in 'my location'). In general, barometric pressure and humidity have a fairly small impact on your turret's overall accuracy, but the more accurate the values you provide are, the more accurate your turret will be.

What value should I provide for Barometric Pressure?

We are looking for the average barometric pressure in the location you will be hunting/shooting, measured in inches of mercury (inHG). The average barometric pressure for most of North America is 29.53 inHG. However, the easiest way to find the barometric pressure in your location is a simple google search (e.g. barometric pressure in 'my location'). In general, barometric pressure and humidity have a fairly small impact on your turret's overall accuracy, but the more accurate the values you provide are, the more accurate your turret will be.

What value should I provide for Temperature?

We are looking for the average temperature where you will be hunting/shooting in Degrees Fahrenheit (°F). Your turret will remain accurate 20°F above and below the entered value (i.e. you have a 40°F window to work with). In terms of environmental factors, altitude and temperature are going to have the largest impact on the accuracy of your turret. Therefore, if you plan to use your firearm in locations with large variances in temperature or across multiple seasons, we recommend purchasing multiple turrets for warm and cold weather to ensure turret accuracy.

What value should I provide for Altitude?

We are looking for the average altitude of where you will be hunting/shooting in feet (FT) above sea level. You turret will remain accurate within 2,000 ft above and below the entered value (i.e. you have 4,000 FT window to work with). In terms of environmental factors, altitude and temperature are going to have the largest impact on the accuracy of your turret. Therefore, if you plan to use your firearm in multiple locations with large variances in altitude, we recommend purchasing multiple turrets with different altitude values to ensure turret accuracy. The easiest way to find the altitude of your location is a simple google search (e.g. altitude of 'my location').

Where can I find a firearm's Muzzle Velocity?

Muzzle velocity estimates can be found on your ammunition packaging, reloading book or on your firearm manufacturer's website. However, many variables, including your selected ammunition, will impact your firearms muzzle velocity and therefore these suggested values may not be accurate. For best results, we suggest capturing muzzle velocity using a chronograph. Your local hunting / sporting goods store can usually help you capture this value.

Where can I find an ammunition's Ballistic Coefficient, Drag Model and Weight?

Most often, this information can be found on the back of your ammunition box or carton. In some cases you will have information for both a G1 and G7 drag model. G1 is preferable for flat-based bullets, whereas G7 is ordinarily a "better fit" for longer, boat-tailed bullets.
